For the weekend, we put together 10 people to fit 2 cars and headed towards Öland! Öland is an island to the south-east of Sweden and is connected with the mainland by a bridge. It's the island of windmills, castles, churches, ruin stones and beautiful beaches. Vlasta already visited Öland last semester so he knew what places were worth a look there. We drove virtually though the whole island, reaching both the northern and southern tip.
Öland on the map

A break near the lake in Växjö.

The bridge to the island (no Ford Focuses again, we had to survive with Volvos S40).

We soon realized that our map of Öland had some limitations - it didn't include agricultural tools in the middle of the road!

Lunch fika at the beach
We finally managed to find a nice place to have a rest. Davide went for a swim to make his mum proud. Respekta!

Little frog throwing competition.

Night in the nature
We found a hatch where Vlasta and his friends overnighted last year. But it was still quite freezing at night so most people chose to stay in tents.

The cozy hatch for me, Vlasta and Misa.
