Öland trip - Day 2

Beautiful warm morning after cool night.

Yet another windmill

Most of the windmills are accessible so you can see the interior. However, we didn't see any working windmill. We developed a theory the windmills actually never worked, they used to be powered by the slaves who walked round and round in the basement so that tourists could admire the rotating blades.

Forklift stacker - the event of the day
It was a big blow to my confidence not to see forklift stackers in Smögen during our Easter trip. I spent several sleepless nights contemplating about the meaning of life. Fortunately all sad thoughts dissapeared after we found this piece-of-art Volvo (of course) forklift stacker standing next to the windmill! Enjoy!

Leaving Öland.

Kalmar city
On the way back we stopped at Kalmar to see one of the best located castles in Sweden..

Coming home with the sunset.
